StayMarriedFlorida.com recently added the profile of Crystal Nasser, LCSW, to the directory of therapists and professionals for children. To view Crystal's profile, click here.
Crystal is one of the few therapists in South Florida that limits her practice to working with infants and young children.
Through play and filial therapies, Crystal is able to provide counseling to parents/caregivers and their children who find themselves amidst varied emotional and behavioral challenges. These early intervention techniques often result in increased pro-social behavior that heightens the child’s self-confidence, self-control and school readiness.
Previously, as the Director of the Institute for Clinical Training at local non-profit, The Center for Child Counseling, Crystal not only focused on developmentally appropriate treatment interventions for very young children using Play Therapy, but also provided professional development training for graduate level interns, child care workers and other mental health professionals.
Crystal has presented at countless seminars and workshops aimed in training other licensed professionals and child care providers in play therapy methodology throughout Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. In addition, Crystal serves as a board member for the MCL Foundation, which focuses its resources on easing the financial burdens and emotional distress of local children and families in crisis. Of recent news, Crystal is the newly elected president of the Palm Beach-Martin County Chapter of the Association of Play Therapy.
Crystal received her BS in Psychology from Florida State University and Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University before becoming a licensed clinical social worker.
